"A Challenge Like No Other"

The Marquette Challenge is a student-led competition among physical therapy programs across the United States to raise money for the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR). Over the past 30 years, $4.3 million has been raised, which accounts for 1/3 of the foundation’s annual budget.

The purpose of funding the FPTR is not only to help with research for the treatment of patients but also to award grants, scholarships, and fellowships. The Foundation is also a part of important contributions to our understanding of COVID-19 and telehealth today.

Participating in the Marquette Challenge demonstrates the dedication and commitment to the physical therapy profession. Investing time into the Challenge helps students develop valuable leadership skills and experience that contribute to their professional growth and expands their network.

For the safety of all students and participants amid this unprecedented time, we will “rise to the challenge” by being creative and using virtual experiences and social media to reach our fundraising goals.
